Anti-Harassment Policy

Tenkey enforces an anti-harassment policy to uphold the goal of ensuring that the event continues to serve as a safe, enjoyable occasion for all participants and involved parties, not just in the present but also in the future.
Thus, not only does this anti-harassment policy apply to actions and speech within the event venue, but also applies to communications post-event including direct communications and social media posts.

Translations and Liabilities

While this page offers a best-effort translation of the policy, please review the original AHP regarding specifics - all parties involved are upheld to the original AHP, and the translator is not liable for any mistranslations or loss of information.

Applicable Parties

All individuals and parties involved with the event are within the scope of this policy.
Thus, the policy is applicable to but not limited to the following:

  • Event participants
  • Presentors and panelists
  • Sponsors
  • Event staff

In this policy, all applicable parties are referenced to as “participants”.

Perspectives, Scopes, Types of Harassment

Examples of scopes of harassment (actions which discriminate against, bother, or cause discomfort to others) are as follows:

  • Gender, sexuality, and expressions of
  • Disabilities
  • Appearance and physical traits
  • Race, ethincity, nationality
  • Age
  • Religion and religious affiliations
  • Use, creation, or appreciation of tools, methods, and technologies, and/or specific designs
  • The communities and enthusiasts related to above clause

These are only given as examples; even beyond this list, any actions or speech which causes discomfort or worry to event participants will be deemed harassment.

Prohibited Actions

At Tenkey, the following actions are prohibited:

  • Provicative, deconstructive, and/or overly critical speech or comments
  • Threatening, stalking, excessive clinging
  • Inappropriate physical contact
  • Other actions which the event staff deem to be harassment or discrimination

No participant is exempt from the scope of prohibited actions due to gender or sexuality.

In Case of Harassment; If You Are Not Sure

If you receive harrassment, observe harassment, or have trouble determining whether something is harassment, please contact an event staff member.
As event staff, we will do our best to protect the victims involved both physically and psychologically.

For smooth operation of the event, as participants, please follow staff orders immediately if given.

Final Words

This policy is not intended to increase the number of prohibited acts or to limit the freedoms of the participants.
Rather, this policy was created to make possible the following goals of the event:

  • Participants can stay safe and happy throughout the event
  • Participants can happily join the event again in the future without any worries or emotional disturbances

Thus, we ask that all participants understand and abide by this policy when they join this event.
We thank you in advance for helping maintain the event as an occasion which anyone can join without worry.
